Jason - Licensed Massage Therapist
Who are you?
Hi, I’m Jason!
Why did you become a massage therapist?
I have always had a curiosity (or knowledge obsession) with the body and it’s anatomy. When I was in the Navy, I kept my nose in anatomy books so often, my “mates” or coworkers, would call me ‘Doc Airman’.
Where and when did you go to school?
I graduated from Central Maryland School of Massage
What modalities do you specialize in?
My modalities include Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Acupressure/Trigger Point, and Pre-natal massage.
List any dysfunctions and acute/chronic conditions you have treated or particularly specialize in:
I specialize in treating shoulder impingement/frozen shoulder, torticullis, patello-femoral pain, piriformis syndrome, S.I. dysfunction, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Temporo-Mandibular Joint Dysfunction, Golfer’s elbow and headaches.
Why is massage important to you?
I find massage very interesting. I think that as a Massage Therapist, it’s awesome to have the ability to identify and intervene when/where a bio-mechanic dysfunction is present within the body.
How would you describe your style of massage:
My massage style can be described as slow, methodical, and thorough. I equate it to picking through the muscle structure and fascia with a fine toothed comb.
What keeps you motivated?
I am motivated by the knowledge that I am able to find and rectify the cause of my client’s pain in order to help them feel better long term!
