Brizeyda - Licensed Massage Therapist

Who are you?
Hi, my name is Brizeyda. I grew up in Boston, MA.

Why did you become a massage therapist?
I became a massage therapist because, ever since I was a kid, I remember always giving massages to my relatives. After moving to Falls Church, VA, in 2022, a friend told me about a massage school. From the first day until now, I have loved and enjoyed the process of becoming a therapist and helping people release body tension, pain, and emotional stress.

Where did you go to school?
I graduated from the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage.

What modalities did you specialize in?
My specialty is Therapeutic Swedish massage, but I also have knowledge in other techniques such as Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Hot Stones, and MET.

Why is massage important to you?
Massage is important to me because it allows me to contribute to others' well-being and help them manage stress, pain, and muscle tension. Being a massage therapist gives me the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's physical and mental health, which is deeply rewarding. It also enables me to develop strong interpersonal skills and engage in a profession that values empathy and care.

How would you describe your style of massage?
I would describe my massage style as a blend of therapeutic techniques tailored to meet individual needs. I focus on integrating deep tissue work with relaxation techniques to address specific areas of tension while promoting overall relaxation. My approach is client-centered, aiming to balance relieving discomfort and enhancing overall well-being, and I adapt my techniques based on feedback and specific issues presented.

What keeps you motivated?
Being a massage therapist is incredibly rewarding for me, especially when I see people walk out of the treatment room with a smile. That’s what motivates me to continue doing what I love.
